Clearing Edits in EPIC

Objective

To establish responsibility and authority for clearing edits in EPIC.

Policy

Claim scrubber edits in EPIC are designed to help ensure the accuracy of claims for payment for health care items and services. A claim for payment will not be released until all edits are cleared. In accordance with this policy, edits can be cleared by CUIMC employees, contractors or consultants with the authority to do so.
